Marriage Proposal Agencies Come to The UK
Soon-to-be newlyweds about to book a wedding videographer such as YSD Media may well have been one of the many couples now engaging in more extravagant ways to propose than just getting down on one knee – with the US trend for marriage proposal agencies now making its way over here. The first one to come to the UK is London-based The Proposers, which was originally set up a year-and-a-half ago and has since managed 170 proposals and now even has its own TV show on Sky, which started in February of this year. It offers a range of proposal packages, with some of the most popular including a musical serenade, which features one singer or musician in the location of your choice, with a total of three songs and extras like champagne and flowers. Or you could go for the dancing flashmob package where dancers perform for around four minutes with extras including confetti and personalised Will you marry me? signs. “Weddings breed pressure: a pressure to pick the perfect venue, choreograph the first dance, but above all – plan the perfect proposal!” the website says. “The fact is, your partner is expecting a fairytale. Believe us when we tell you everyone wants their proposal to be perfect. Doing it in front of the TV after a curry and a few beers just won’t do.” Apparently, The Proposers have been all over the world helping people pop the question and have a 100% yes success rate, arranging proposals in Dubai, Switzerland, Rome, Ireland, Ibiza and Hong Kong, among others.
