Men Prefer a Princess Dress!
Women planning their nuptials and thinking about wedding videographers such as YSD Media might be interested to hear that 43% of men would prefer their bride to walk down the aisle in a princess dress with a full skirt and corset body. This is according to new research by Brides magazine, which struck up a partnership with designer Ian Stuart to come up with a design for the groom’s idea of the perfect dress for his bride, which also turned out to be ivory rather than white – which women seem to prefer. In addition, while women would want a dress with capped sleeves, almost half of the men asked would prefer to see them in a dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline, while crystals and diamantes were the favoured dress detail along with fresh flowers in their lady love’s hair. So when it comes to choosing your perfect dress, you might want to give a little bit of thought as to what your future husband wants to see you in – you could end up going for a completely different gown altogether. Whatever shape or colour you go for, there are some things you should do first – such as setting yourself a budget, going shopping early in the morning so you don’t have to deal with tired staff who’ve been helping women in and out of dresses all day, and looking through as many magazines as possible before going shopping so you can get an idea of the style you like.
