It’s A Nice Day For A Ghost-White Wedding…

It may not sound like the most romantic of settings for couples booking an Asian wedding video provider, but if you fancy a bit of adventure on your big day, what about holding the ceremony at Newsham Park – apparently the most active place for ghost hunts in the UK. The haunted Victorian orphanage has been closed for years but developers are now moving in to add a cocktail bar and restaurant to help make it wedding-ready, according to the Liverpool Echo. If you’re a little on the jumpy side, perhaps best to stay away, as paranormal investigators have said that they have heard odd sounds reverberating through the giant halls and down the corridors. Speaking to the paper, one of the businessmen working on the development, John McKenzie, said: “We are booked up for the next 18 months. But now we have formally been approved planning permission, it will be exciting to begin this new project.” It might come as no surprise but this orphanage isn’t the only supposedly haunted place where you can choose to say your vows. Muncaster Castle in the Lake District is supposed to have a number of ghosts, including Henry VI who has apparently been heard roaming the corridors and having a good old wail about his defeat at the Battle of Hexham. Or you can get hitched at Ettington Park Hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon, which is thought to have been built on the site of a Roman villa. It was once a nursing home and was used as a POW camp after World War II, and people have said they have encountered sudden and unexplained drops in temperature in certain parts of the building.
