5 Christmas Wedding Tips
With Christmas just around the corner, we thought we’d do you a little blog post with some ideas for throwing the perfect winter bash. And whatever you do – don’t forget to book the best provider of wedding videos Manchester has available for your ceremony!
- Think seasonally
A Christmas wedding is a joy to decorate and can be a lot less expensive than weddings at other times of the year. After all, your venue might already have its own Christmas tree set up so that’s just one less thing to think about. Talk to your venue about what they’re planning to do so you can tie your décor ideas in with theirs.
- Ditch the confetti
Traditional confetti can be really lovely (we’re partial to a few dried rose petals ourselves), but the dark nights mean that you can give sparklers to your guests instead to toast you as you leave the church as husband and wife for the first time.
- Stay warm
Who doesn’t love a bit of kitsch at Christmas time? Your winter wedding photos would be finished off to perfection if the entire bridal party all had funny bobble hats to wear. Imagine the hilarity!
- Christmas canapes
Shrink down all the classic Christmas foods and hand them out as canapes during your cocktail hour. Lots of tiny gingerbread biscuits and some tiny mince pies would be lovely. You could also dish out some egg nog or spicy mulled wine for people to sip on.
- Silver and gold
Picking out the colours for your wedding is never easier than at Christmas time. Just go for silver and gold – everyone will love it. Find more ideas here.
